Daniel 3.

B

lessed art Thou, O Lord, the God of our fathers: * and worthy of praise and glorious forever:
And blessed is the name of Thy glory, * which is holy, and worthy of praise and glorious forever.
Thou art blessed in the holy temple of Thy glory, that beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the throne of Thy kingdom, in the firmament of heaven, * and worthy of praise and glorious forever.
Bless the Lord, all ye works of the Lord, heaven, * angels, and all ye that are above the heavens;
All ye powers, sun and moon, rain and dew, * all ye spirits, fire and heat, nights and days, light and darkness,
Cold and heat, frost and snow, * lightning and clouds;
Let the earth bless the Lord, mountains and hills, * and all things that spring from the earth;
Seas and rivers, fountains, * whales and all that move in the waters;
Birds of the air, beasts and cattle, * sons of men, Israel, priests of the Lord, His servants, spirits and souls of the just, holy and humble of heart:
Ananias, Azarias, and Misael, * bless the Lord, and exalt Him above all forever. Amen.
Glory and honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalmus

Psalmus 50.

M

iserére mei, Deus, secúndum magnam misericórdiam tuam: * et secúndum multitúdinem miseratiónum tuárum dele iniquitátes meas.
Usquequáque laba me ab injustítia mea: * et a peccáto meo munda me.
Adspárges me ysópo, et mundábor: * labábis me, et supra nibem dealbábor.
Audítui meo dabis gáudium, et lætítiam: * et exultábunt ossa humiliáta.
Avérte fáciem tuam a peccátis meis: * et omnes iniquitátes meas dele.
Cor mundum crea in me, Deus, * spíritum rectum ínnoba in viscéribus meis.
Ne proícias me a fácie tua: * spíritum sanctum tuum ne áuferas a me.
Redde mihi lætítiam salutáris tui: * spíritu principáli confírma me.
Líbera me de sanguínibus, Deus, Deus salútis meæ : * laudábit lingua mea justítias tuas.
Amen.

Psalm

Psalm 50.

H

ave mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy: * and according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.
Wash me yet more from my iniquity, * and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my iniquity, * and my sin is always before me.
To thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before thee: * that thou mayst be justified in thy words, and mayst overcome when thou art judged.
For behold I was conceived in iniquities; * and in sins did my mother conceive me.
For behold thou hast loved truth: * the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.
Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: * thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: * and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.
Turn away thy face from my sins, * and blot out all my iniquities.
Create a clean heart in me, O God: * and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
Cast me not away from thy face; * and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, * and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.
I will teach the unjust thy ways: * and the wicked shall be converted to thee.
Deliver me from blood, O God, thou God of my salvation: * and my tongue shall extol thy justice.
O Lord, thou wilt open my lips: * and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
For if thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: * with burnt offerings thou wilt not be delighted.
A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: * a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Deal favourably, O Lord, in thy good will with Sion; * that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up.
Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: * then shall they lay calves upon thy altar.
Glory and honor be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever. Amen.

Canticle

Te Deum.

W

e praise thee, O God, we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship thee, the Father everlasting.
To thee all Angels cry aloud, the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.
To thee Cherubim and Seraphim continually do cry.
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of Sabaoth;
Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty of thy glory.
The glorious company of the Apostles praise thee.
The goodly fellowship of the Prophets praise thee.
The noble army of Martyrs praise thee.
The holy Church throughout all the world doth acknowledge thee;
The Father, of an infinite Majesty.
Thine honourable, true, and only Son;
Also the Holy Ghost, the Comforter.
Thou art the King of Glory, O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man, thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death, thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God, in the glory of the Father.
We believe that thou shalt come to be our Judge.
We therefore pray thee, help thy servants, whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious Blood.
Make them to be numbered with thy Saints, in glory everlasting.
O Lord, save thy people, and bless thine heritage.
Govern them, and lift them up for ever.
Day by day we magnify thee;
And we worship thy Name ever, world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us.
O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us, as our trust is in thee.
O Lord, in thee have I trusted, let me never be confounded.
Spare, O Lord, spare thy people: and give not thy inheritance to reproach.

C

Ascéndit in cœlos: sedet ad déxteram Patris;
Cum Patre, et Fílio simul adorándum, et glorificándum: qui locútus est per Prophétas;
In unam sanctam cathólicam atque Apostólicam Ecclésiam.
Confitémur unum baptísma in remissiónem peccatórum.
Expectámus resurrectiónem mortuórum,
Et vitam futúri sæculi. Amen.

Nicene Creed

W

e believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things, visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
And born of the Father, before all ages.
God of God: Light of Light: true God of true God.
Begotten, not made, (Homoousious with the Father; that is, the same substance with the Father:) by whom all things were made, which is in heaven, and which is on earth.
Who, for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven.
* And became incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary: and was made man.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, and was buried.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father.
He shall come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, of whose kingdom there shall be no end.
We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life, proceeding from the Father and the Son.
Who together, with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified: Who spoke by the prophets.
And in one, holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.
And We look for the resurrection of the dead.
And the life of the world to come. Amen.
